Great Experience
Reviewed by Oorsuthi on Mar 10, 2010

Me and my wife were in Paris for our 20th Anniversary this past week. Recently I upgraded from point and shoot to a Nikon DSLR and a beginner to DSLR photography. I took the Night tour on March 4th Thursday. I was the only one to take the tour that day. Randy was five minutes ahead of the scheduled time at our hotel and picked us(my wife accompanied us). Almost the next 4 hours we were hopping through Metro and took photos from 4 different spots. A tourist on tight schedule would probably never find those spots. The temperature was sub 30 degree and Randy even offered hand warmers to my me and my wife to keep us going. I probably absorbed more techniques about Digital Photography during this 3 plus hours than in the previous few months through various books and website forums. Overall it is a great learning experience for me and I strongly recommend to anyone who wants to take some Paris pictures and learn some more tips and techniques along the way. I attahced one picture I took from the tour with assistance from Randy.

What a Highlight!

What a Highlight My daughter and I recently enjoyed several hours with Randy in Paris. What an amazing tour! My daughter and I have always had a lot of pleasure from our photographs, but now, after Randy?s wonderful guidance, a whole new dimension has been added to not only our photography, but our view and appreciation of travel. Randy showed us lots of ways to highlight our photos with positioning and use of light so that even with our ?point & shoot? digital cameras, our photos are fantastic. We loved Paris before the Tour ? but relived it through completely different eyes after the tour. Randy?s Photo Tour was not only the highlight of our Paris journey ? but added so much to the rest of our travels. Our photos are not only happy memories, but a real pleasure to revisit. The skills that Randy passed on to us will go with us wherever we travel. PS Your alphabet challenge is a test everywhere!! Thanks Randy Julie & Ellie Johnston Australia

Great Tour, Great Advice, Great Guy

I spent a thoroughly enjoyable day in Paris with Randy in the beginning of Feb. The cold and snow not dampening our spirits we embarked on the tour, taking in a mix of some of the cities highlights, rustic streets and general beauty of the host city. This was a fantastic chance to visit differing parts of the city, where every street is, potentially, a shot waiting to happen. Randy's tutelage was expert, in design, composition and technique, opening up avenues of photography, and expanding ones vision of the ordinary, pushing the science to art. With smaller numbers comes greater exposure, and this is what counts. Whether using standard camera or stepping into SLR, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

We agree with all other reviews, it was a terrifc experience with Randy, and a highlight of of our stay, Randy showed us interesting angles for our photograhy, all have been beautiful shots, not only was it a great photographic experiece learning more about photography but great to have our own personalised guide in Paris, my husband a keen amateur photographer thoroughly enjoyed the time with Randy who was helpful friendly and even provided us with glove warmers on such a cold day!

A kind, knowledgeable approach to photography and sight seeing in Paris
Reviewed by rdy2click on Jan 20, 2010

I had the privilege to spend 5 days with Randy last July. In every way, my expectations were far exceeded. As an advanced amateur, it was critical that I worked with someone that could enhance my skills while using Paris as a backdrop. Day shoots, night shoots, studio shoots, in warm weather and pouring rain, nothing slowed us down or was considered unreasonable to accomplish. Randy's supportive and motivated style was the perfect blend of skill development and sight seeing. Getting around the city was a breeze using subway and old fashion "humping it" to our next destination. Whether you're looking to enhance your photography, tour the city or both... Randy is the perfect blend of knowledge and professionalism that you are looking for.
