I was served HOT chinese mustard in a dipping sauce with Shumai - why would you do this? No one mentioned what the sauce was and I was on fire after taking a big dip with my dumpling - totally ruined my experience. I was told it was on the menu, well - sometimes I don't look at the menu, esp. at sush restaurants and if you are going to do something "creative" like that, let your customers know or why not take it off the menu so it doesn't happen to anyone else...

Surprised Sushi Den is ranked #2 in Denver -- it was just okay.

The restaurant interior is modern and hip. It was fairly busy when we were there for dinner around 8pm on Saturday night. We waited at least 10 minutes before a waiter approached with no apology. We ordered several items and they came out every 15 minutes so we were there a long time. The sushi was average but the veggie tempura was good. With all of the other options in Denver, I would not go back to Sushi Den.
