Traveler ReviewsTwo Safaris with African Memorable Safaris in two weeks - both excellent
Reviewed by JulesSouthWales on Mar 10, 2010
We booked with AMS in the UK - Jenny was ultra efficient and totally honest. Geoffrey was our guide and driver for our three day/two night safari to Tsavo East and West. His good humour, good manners and patience never deserted him, even when pushed to the limit! We would not have seen any lions but for his sharp eyes. His knowledge of birds is very good. Our safety was of paramount importance to him.
Our second safari was a day trip to Malindi and Watamu with AMS. This time we knew where we wanted to go and Joseph couldn't have been more obliging - from the cemetery, to a particular shop, then to see friends and then to A Rocha Conservation in Watamu. Again, his good humour, patience and courtesy shone through even at the end of a hard day's driving.
African Memorable Safaris comes Highly Recommended.
Best safari from Mombasa: African Memorable Safaris

We went on a 3day/2night safari from Mombasa with African Memorable Safaris. This was our third safari and our expectations were high. However all expectations were fullfilled and we had unforgettable days in Tsavo. Our guide, Geoffrey, was fantastic. He is both a skilled guide, a good driver and a very nice person. We saw four leopards in one day !
Already longing for next safari with African Memorable and Geoffrey.
Excellent service, accomodation, knowledgeble and flexible guide/driver - this trip could not have been better!

We were a bit dubious about booking and paying a deposit online, but Jennifer´s efficiency and professionism by email was reassuring, and we took the chance.
Despite long flight delays, we were met at the airport as promised and driven to our hotel. There, we went through our itinerary with Jennifer and talked to our driver/guide Geoffrey . Geoffrey explained the importance of an open dialogue about our wishes in order to get the most out of our safari.
Our expectations were high!
To summarize - the whole trip, lasting 4 days, was fantastic! Geoffrey´s love and knowledge of the animals, his sharp sight and instinct , and the nature of the changeable terrain and weather, meant that we experienced more than we ever imagined. The combination of accomodation with lodges and a tent camp was excellent, as was the food. Tsavo E, Tsavo W and Amboseli are all quite different from each other which meant we experienced several different kinds of scenery. We were very warmly welcomed during our visit at a Maasai village + it was extremely interesting.
Geoffrey was always good company. He was very discrete and left us to ourselves at lunch , dinner and in the evenings unless invited to join us. Jennifer had contact with us on the way in order to check that we were happy and she met us on our return for the same reason.
It was truly a fantastic adventure and we would definately recommend African Memorable to others.
If there was anything we would like to change, it would be the roadstops at the souvenier shops, where there was little or no possibility of buying refreshments.
Smooth, professional, and completely enjoyable from beginning to end!

I found out about this safari company online, and contacted them to inquire more. Within a few hours, I heard back from Jennifer with tons of information about the one-day safari I was planning to take. She found out where we would be staying and arranged for our driver to pick us up right in front of the entrance. She even followed up with me during the trip to update me on some news about my hotel, as rumor had been spreading that there had been a fire. Luckily for us, it was only a rumor!
Our driver was right on time at 5 AM the day of the safari, and right away he began throwing out facts and figures about the area we were staying in and what to expect from the safari. He was funny, smiley, and pleasant all day, and was incredibly helpful at spotting and identifying animals (giving us tons of information about each one!). He had also brought along enough bottled water to last us through the day.
The lunch that was included in the safari cost (which was $150/person for the one-day safari) was a buffet at a beautiful hill-top lodge. The food was good, and the view was spectacular. After finishing up our afternoon game drive, our driver worked with us to drop us off at another historical location that we wanted to visit that evening. On the drive back, Jennifer called the driver to speak with us about how we enjoyed the safari. I told her, honestly, that it could not have been any better.
Really a memorable African safari!

I like to tell you about our experience with your African Memorable Safaris.
With my wife daughter and son we made the 3-day Tsavo-West+East last October 2009. And really Geofry, our guide, host and friend made this tour a success. We had a lot of fun, saw the big five (including the black reno) and many, many more, enjoined Geofry's knowledge about Kenia, its population, its way of life, its animals and remarkable nowledge about birds. We will recommend your company and of course your guide Geofry to all our friends in The Netherlands. We will never forget this experience.
Kind Regards,
Dolf, Tineke, Jorg and Dafne van den Berg
