I'm sitting in Cote writing this review after the most spectular fish pie in my girlfriend's opinion. The 'house red' wine is great as is the confit of duck. We just loved the atmosphere upon walking in the door and the service was superb. We used the iPhone application to find it whilst in Covent Garden and is a little gem of a find.

Pleasant surprise!

New Year's Eve dinner. I'm not a fan of eating out on holidays, but we stayed center city for the fireworks. My friend and I both had wonderful 2 course meals. We both had wine with our meals and it was less than 30 total. Great location, wait staff and atmosphere! Would make a great pre or post theater meal visit as well. Would definitely go back!

Couldn't fault it!

I booked a pre-theatre dinner at this restaurant following the excellent reviews it had. We were not disappointed! The request for booking by e-mail was acknowledged very quickly and this standard was maintained as soon as we arrived at the restaurant. The interior is cosy and welcoming and the staff friendly and helpful. Our meals arrived at perfect intervals and were deliciously fresh and appetising. All this followed by a pleasant surprise when the bill arrived - it was extremely good value. I would not hesitiate to return to Cote and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food!

Quality cooking and outstanding value for money

Visited this for lunch and my partner had a set lunch menu - a substantial main course plus a glass of wine/lager or soft drink for £9.50. His chicken and walnut salad was delicious. I opted for their 2 course lunch special (two courses for 11.70) My duck, chicken and liver terrine with cornichons was tasty, although not large. My main course of cod goujons was delicious, very fresh fish and very tasty pommes frites and the home-made tartare sauce was piquant. Filtered water is provided without asking and the service was swift and attentive. The place was deservedly busy and I could not fault the quality of the cooking at this price.

Lovely, lovely, lovely!

My boyfriend and I ate in Cote on Valentines night during a weekend break to London and it was a wonderful dining experience. We booked the restaurant on the back of the reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed! We were warmly welcomed (especially as we turned up half an hour early for our booking by mistake!) and enjoyed a very relaxed atmosphere instead of the usual crammed in couples on Valentines day. We both had Mushroom Feuilleté which was gorgeous then had the Duck Confit & Steak Haché then both had Crème Brûlée, all washed down with a wonderful bottle of wine. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were just right. There is so much to tempt you on the menu that it takes ages to decide! The staff at Cote are very friendly and go out of their way to help you. The location in Covent Garden is fantastic too The bill was very reasonable, it came in at around £80 for 3 courses, a bottle of wine, and two kir royales not bad at all for a top restaurant in central London. Can't wait to go there again!
