We did this in December 2009. We had a fabulous time and saw so much. It is mainly off road; goes through all the big parks. Saw the Queens horse training in the park. our guide was excellent and gave good background and information along the way. Stopped for lunch at Trafalgar Square where most of us went to a pub for lunch. It is excellent value and takes about 4 hours. our guide was great. Thank you. Christine from New Zealand
My favorite thing we did in London

Absolutely amazing. Saw all the sites, tour guide was full of information and kept it light and interesting with lots of stories and jokes. It was so beautiful to ride through all the royal parks. We stopped for lunch at a traditional English pub. You get to see so much more of the city than you would if simply on foot for the same amount of time. So much fun, definitely would recommend to all travelers!
Excellent!!

This was one of the highlights of our trip.
The tour is nice and easy so you can really enjoy the explanations of the guide, enjoy the places you visit and take pictures when you stop.
It's been several years since I last rode a bike, but they gave us plenty of time to get used to the it.
The guide was really funny and told us several interesting facts about London's history, people and places.
Most the time, we rode inside parks and pedestrian lanes. We only rode in the street for very brief moments and the guide was extra careful.
I definetely recommend the Fat Tire Bike Tours!!

My partner and I arranged for a private bike tour which was the best decision we could have made. We had 4 hours of nonstop fun riding through the gorgeous parks, stopping to discuss all historical sites of importance and just generally enjoying the ride (easy) and the charming tour guide. The bikes were easy to use, the path safe and flat and the commentary from the very well-informed guide quite interesting. We would both do this again in a heartbeat. . .it was truly a highlight of our trip.
Great experience!! Excellent guide!!

I got off my plane in London at 7:00AM on Saturday, at the hotel and back out the door by 9:30A and by 11:00AM, I was on the Fat Tire Bike Tour! I booked ahead online (recommended), met David and the rest of the tour group at the Queensway tube entrance and headed off from there. I won't spoil the tour, but you get to see the outside of pretty much all the major landmarks west of the Thames. David was fantastic. A bright young man and an entertaining, energetic speaker, he tells little stories to make each site relavent and interesting instead of just drab history and stating the obvious.
If you get a chance over lunch and you're a bookworm, pick David's brain about literature, politics and economics. A lively conversation will ensue.
The bikes are quite comfortable and at a leisurely pace.
