We were in London with our kids (4 & 11) for a theater opening and some sightseeing. We booked Glen for 2 days. Having a professional guide and the flexibility of a private tour was well worth the price.
Day one - London by auto
Day two - Windsor/Stonehenge/Bath
Glen knew what to see, when to see it and how best to see it. I'm sure we enjoyed the experience twice as much as we would have doing it all on our own.
A real professional.
Brilliant Day

The Trip advisor collective is right with recommending Glen, it IS well worth booking a tour!
He is really exactly as described - professional, fun, wonderfully informed and genuinely interested in the city and making the day perfect for his clients. I think that's what I appreciated the most, because he was intuitive to my interests, I could sit back and relax and enjoy the day unfolding into a perfect personal tour.
Brilliant day with a brilliant guide :-D
Well Worth It!

The six of us had considered doing the bus tours on our own for around half the price, but Gren Tours was well worth it! After an overnight flight from the US we had an eight hour layover on our way to S. Africa. Glen met us at the airport with his smiling face and quick wit. We were able to see the main attractions of London and through Glen's knowledge and expertise of the city and history it made for a thoroughly enjoyable day. He took us to The Rock & Sole Place for excellent fish, chips and tea. We had the additional excitement of being stopped by six police officers under the terrorism act since we had been taking pictures around the government buildings. Truly an English experience! Suffice it to say, Gren Tours exceeded our expectations and was worth every pound. Thank you Glen!

Glen of Gren tours met us at our hotel and took us on day one of a two-day tour of London. We originally booked day one as a "walking tour", but due to an injury to my wife's ankle, we had to switch it to a car tour, which was originally scheduled for day two. Glen was able to arrange for this last minute switch without any difficulty. Prior to the tour, Glen had inquired about our special interests. He was able to arrange our tour to include sites related to classical music and medicine. It was obvious during our tour that he had done his homework on these two topics. Touring London by car offers the ability to cover a lot of territory in a relatively short period of time and the pace and length of the tour was "just right". At the end of the first day, he dropped us off by St. Martin in the Fields for a noon concert...most delightful! The second day was a half day tour "on foot", parts of which was by public transportation (the tube). We saw the interior of important buildings in a more close-up and personal way. A sprinkling of humor was mixed in with informative narrations. All in all, a very pleasant two days of guided tour in London. As an added bonus, Glen was able to explain things to my mother-in-law, who speaks mostly Japanese, in her native tongue. We highly recommend Glen as a tour guide, especially if you have a person in your party who speaks mostly Japanese.
A Must Do While in London!

I gave my children a gift of a trip to London and arranged for a half-day tour with Glen Portch to see the highlights of the city. The email I received from my daughter says it all--"it would be worth flying over here just to do this tour with Glen!" I plan on it as soon as my schedule permits! If Glen can captivate 2 tired twenty-somethings for 4 hours in the freezing cold and snow, he's the tour guide not to be missed!!
