The tour was made special by Trish's enthusiasm and "working relationships" with the various owners of the stores at the Farmers Market and 3rd Street. After her introductions to some owners, the tour took on a special feeling of family that resides in the area. We will be taking the Old Pasadena tour soon and will not hesitate to recommend this tour to our local friends and relatives, as well as out of town guests. We arrived about 45 minutes early to get a good parking spot and found it very nice to walk around in an uncrowded market and the Grove. On the walk down 3rd street, we would recommend purchasing goodies along the way (something always happens such that we regret not purchasing items at the bakery or restaurants along the way).
Excellent tour !!!!

Never been to Pasadena before. It was a good way to find good places to eat, good intro to the city. Enjoyed the historical aspect as well. Would like to see this in Sacramento. Only thing I would change is perhaps adding one or two more to the list of establishments, if time allowed. It would be wonderful to have some of the other owners participate, as did Bird Pick.
A Day of Decadence!

I am an LA native and I love to eat. But I had no idea so many great restaurants existed in and around The Grove! My boyfriend took me on this amazing Melting Pot tour where I literally stuffed my face with some of the best tasting meats, cheeses, and pastries I've ever eaten. I highly recommend this tour it is a must see/ must experience here in LA!

This tour was a huge success. Having been a regular at Farmer's Market for most of my adult life I was curious to see what I had to learn, which was a lot. Diane was an enthusiastic and informed guide who introduced us to specialty items at many of the vendors, which we otherwise would have overlooked. The food was delicious. When do we ever have a taste-test of doughnuts! At Farmer's Market and on 3rd Street we sampled olives, cheeses, breads, candy, salads, teas, coffee, tea, peanut butter, bakery sweets, Brazilian bbq , sushi and more. Diane also pointed out shopping and restaurants along the way. I have already recommended this tour to many friends and will do the Old Pasadena tour soon. We had a fun group of people which made for a terrific few hours.
