Great food, lovely staff, nice setting - watch the drinks!

My wife and I had a great meal here, having come upon the restaurant by chance. We were lucky it was early (7pm) as all the tables were reserved and we were asked if we would be out by 9pm. This suited us fine. The meal was delicious but the sommelier is an excellent saleman and you need to watch the prices or it will become an expensive meal! Having said that, we paid around £45 per head including 2 cocktails and 3 glasses of wine and I don't regret a penny of it. We will definitely go back if we are in the city again.

Excellent Valentine's menu with exceptional wine list. Nice atmosphere and decor with a quiet romantic vibe. Great food & wonderful dessert (especially the cheesecake!)

Far too simply

Visiting a new city I always count on the recommendation of Trip Advisor, but something is wrong in this city. I normally choose restaurants offering simply nice local food. But it was far too simply in Tigris. It was nothing special of anything. This type of restaurant should not be the first ten of Trip Advisor ranking in a city like Budapest.

We visited this restaurant based on Trip Advisor. Not to be disappointed - Tigris offers an very good value fine dining experience with great staff, atmosphere and food and wine pairings. Definitely to be recommended when in Budapest. more
