Traveler ReviewsA bit disappointed

The atmosphere of the restaurant was quite good although it's a bit noisy. I was not surprised because it's Vegas and people are excited. The service was excellent. We ordered broiled portobello, tuna tartare, steamed asparagus and filet mignon. Only the filet mignon was very scrumptious - very tender and tasty. Others are just so so. We were disappointed especially by the portobello which was like steamed rather than broiled.
Typical upscale steakhouse, but not a typical steak!

Went to Vic and Anthony's, which is Nestled inside the Golden Nugget in Downtown Vegas. If you have ever been to Ruth's Chris, Smith & Wolensky's, Shulas, Mortons, etc., etc., you already know the drill: Expensive steak, alacart sides, cooked in a 1,200 degree oven, etc, etc.
I have been to all of them, and can tell you the are equally matched with regards to service, sides, atmosphere, etc., Top notch, not a bad one in the bunch. That said, Vic and Anthony's steak is definitely the absolute best I have ever had, bar none. Period. My two friends, (who have also been to the others with me) also agreed. Cooked exactly as ordered, and the first time ever that I did not have to season a steak. I ate my ribeye as served. Unbelievable. Simply the best. If you don't pull yourself away from a buffet trough, and spend a little cash for a real dinner here while in Vegas, it would be a crime. I can't wait for my next trip to Vegas just to eat here.

The porterhouse steak for two at $41/person is the best steak I have ever had.
You won't be sorry if you eat here.
Wonderful Filet Mignon

My girlfriend had the best filet mignon of her life here. We've dined in great steak restaurants in Kansas City and South Florida. Wine recommendation was off initially but the staff found us good replacement wines. Romantic atmosphere. Great experience overall

Wintering out in Vegas (from NY), we've been subject to what seemed like an endless number of chains along the strip. If I never see another hard rock or starbucks I'll be a happy man. Well, we hit a real winner with Vic & Anthony's in old LV. Excellent food, we had steaks and lamb, held it's own with any steakhouse out there (and we've been to many excellent ones, being from NY and traveling widely). The service was friendly and flawless...great recommendations from the waiter on wines to compliment (in our price range!), sides, and local info. We were able to get a 5p reservation and still make a 7:30 show on the strip. We will unquestionably be taking future out-of-town guests to Vic & Anthony's!
